MURDER BY THE BOOK EVENTS...

These are the author book signings we will be hosting, and the ones we have had at our independent mystery bookstore in Denver, Colorado. See a picture of the store on our home page. We are proud of the relaxing and enjoyable setting we provide for the mystery books authors and their fans. These author signings are always an enjoyable event to attend. Please come and visit us at our store on Old South Pearl Street in Denver, Colorado.

When each author visits our store we have a local bakery make a cake in the exact likeness of the cover of the author's book. It has been a unique and tasty tradition of ours for years! See the pictures below.

Wednesday, July 09, 2008 Rhys Bowen - A Royal Pain

Award winning author Rhys Bowen hosts a royal event complete with champagne and treats to celebrate the 2nd book in the Royal Spyness series, which features Georgie, a penniless twenty-something member of the extended royal family. In this second outing she must pretend she has money and a domestic staff to entertain a princess at the request of the Queen. You may, but are not required to, dress for a Royal Event, including hats and gloves! Rhys will be giving a prize for the best hat!

Monday, July 21, 2008 Ridley Pearson - Killer View

Murder by the Book will open on Monday for this special event! Ridley Pearson, who started out as a singer/songwriter and is a founding member of the 60's rock and roll band, the Rock Bottom Remainders, will sign his newest book featuring Sheriff Walt Fleming. When a skier goes missing in Sun Valley, Fleming & his search-and-rescue team, including Walt's best friend, Mark Aker, head out into the snowy night. Within minutes, something goes horribly wrong: one of their team is found dead and by morning, Mark Aker has disappeared.

Brent Ghelfi has been a clerk on the US Court of Appeals, a partner in a Phoenix based law firm and now owns several businesses. Following on the tremendous success of his 1st book, Volk's Game, he brings Volk (Alexei Volkovoy) back to Chechnya, where he confronts his old nemesis, Abreg, and reunites with a lost love. Brent has traveled extensively throughout Russia and sets this series in complex and confusing contemporary Russia.
